CTA Train Crash: Know Your Legal Rights
A Chicago Transit Authority train crash early Monday morning that left dozens of people injured is also raising legal questions. An empty CTA train was parked in a service yard and somehow ended up on the Blue Line. The unmanned train then crashed head on into an oncoming train at Forest Park’s Harlem Station. At least 30 people were sent to hospitals, the Chicago Tribune reports.
An investigation being led by the National Transportation Safety Board is in the process of determining what exactly happened by looking at surveillance video and interviewing workers. As the investigation continues, victims will have many questions that may affect their ability to get compensation for their injuries. If you or a loved one was injured, call the accident lawyers at Shapiro, Cohen and Basinger, Ltd. today to discuss your legal rights.
